Volunteer
Since the BLoT operates through the dedication of volunteers, we are actively seeking individuals interested in volunteering with us!
We need:
1. Volunteers: to manage operations at the library.
2. Administration volunteers: to input items into our library software.
3. DIY proficient people: to provide guidance to members.
4. Handypeople: to inspect and fix non-electrical items.
Rewarding volunteers at BLoT is done in several ways:
1. Recognition: We acknowledge volunteers publicly through newsletters, social media posts, or during community events to show appreciation for their contributions.
2. Training and Skill Development: We offer training workshops or seminars to enhance volunteers' skills and knowledge, providing them with valuable learning opportunities.
3. Flexible Scheduling: We certainly accommodate volunteers' availability by offering flexible scheduling options, allowing them to balance their volunteering commitments with other responsibilities.
4. Volunteer Appreciation Events: BLoT will organise events or gatherings specifically to celebrate and recognize the efforts of volunteers, such as volunteer appreciation dinners or outings.
5. Volunteer Perks: We provide volunteers with benefits such as free BLoT membership and loans, access to exclusive events, or recognition badges.
6. Letters of Recommendation: If you need letters of recommendation or references for volunteering, we will help however we can.
7. Personal Thank You Notes: We take the time to personally thank volunteers with handwritten notes or emails expressing gratitude for their dedication and hard work.
By implementing these strategies, BLoT will create a rewarding and fulfilling volunteer experience, encouraging continued participation and support from its wonderful volunteers.
